Ten tips for packing appropriately from Mudanzas de la Fuente
- Choose solid boxes, not too big, and that are easy to carry. Full them completely, leaving no space.
- Reinforce the boxes with two strips of tape across from its base.
- Make a layer of small balls of newspaper and cover the bottom of the packaging boxes.
- Place the heaviest items first, and, above them, another layer of paper. Continue in this manner with the rest of the objects to fill the box.
- Do not pack the most fragile objects. We’ll do it for you the day of the move.
- Pack belongings room by room. Label each box with a detailed description of its contents and the room to which it is addressed. This will indicate the employees of the moving company in which room each box should be place.
- Indicate which side is the top of the box, to always place it facing up. Especially if it contains fragile items in order to be handled with care.
- When packing a computer, don’t forget to make a backup with all the information, and be sure you don’t store it near any object with magnetic fields.
- Do not pack or transport combustible or flammable items (aerosols, paints, hairsprays ....)
- Don’t store jewels or cash, keep it with you.
