Regarding movers
* Ask for the prices of three different moving companies.
* Request a signed quote estimation, setting out the volume and characteristics that are taken into account for costs.
* Sign a contract only when everything meets your requirements. You can request an homologated moving contract. In it, the mover is liable for any defect it may cause and to comply with all the guarantees outlined in the contract.
* If you have furniture or valuable objects take pictures of them before the move. If they suffer any damage during the moving you have evidence to show to the insurance company.
* Hire a professional to pack, if you have, valuables such as paintings and sculptures. Make sure the moving company will be responsible for the management and their security. Please, don’t trust companies that offer extremely low cost. Quality, service and efficiency have a price.
* Distrust of companies without their own staff or vehicles.
* Distrust of companies with workers with no uniform or identification. Keep in mind that if an uninsured worker has an accident in your home, it can have serious consequences for you: request a list with the staff that will be at your home.
* Request your invoice with the seal of the company.
